Yes, they are loud, consume fuel (gasp, shock horror) and actually (don't tell anyone) a luxury consumer item. Plus, they need a lot of care and attention, though I'd hardly think they break down very often.

But the sheer pleasure makes up for living in today's very twisted society, plus I get street cred (not that I need any!)

BTW, where are you based? Trying to get my head around somewhere you can 1) ski, 2)has a Prime Minister.

Motorbikes? Haha, nah, that's not much for me...I mean, they're pretty cool and all, but is it worth it? I don't think so.

Here are some reasons why:
1: They CONSUME FUEL. I, having been raised by an environmental fundamentalist, would start feeling very bad if I found myself wasting out on nature like that...
Yes, I know, it's not very macho to go around proclaiming that petroleum is wrong and stuff...who said I was macho though? As i've said, people around me commonly accuse me of being gay, and now i realize it's not only got to do with the looks...

(so friggin what though?)

2: They're FRIGGIN NOISY. I, unlike others of my age, do care about the health of my ears.

3: They're not exactly the cheapest (or fastest) way of transportation there is, and me, being an not overly rich student, do not have the time or resources to spend on that.

4: Btw, they're quite prone to breaking down, from what i've experienced.

So no motorbikes for me. I'll stick with my legs and skiis...
...until the day I can get that tech-savvy maglev thing to work on my shoes. Now THAT would be frigging awesome.
